About the
Ordering and Download Process for Barbara Brabec's PDF eBook,
Secrets to Maximizing Schedule C Deductions
What's a "PDF eBook?
A PDF eBook is simply an electronic version of a book. You won't find eBooks
in bookstores; only on websites. The best thing about an eBook is that you don't
have to wait for it to be sent to you by mail. Whether you have dial-up or
broadband, you can download an eBook with just one click—provided
you have the Adobe Reader program on your computer (see #3 below). My
eBook is just 1MB in size, so even with dial-up, it can be downloaded in just a
few minutes at most.
But isn't it dangerous to download things from the
Web?
Yes and no. Some eBooks are offered as .exe files, which can be dangerous if
you don't know and trust the publisher. But PDF eBooks are
completely safe for download.
They cannot carry viruses, and they can be read with the FREE Adobe Reader by
all computer users, except those who are on the Web through WebTV. Because of
this, most of the new eBooks and other free or for-sale electronic reports being
offered on the Web are now being published in PDF format.
What's the "Adobe Reader?"
This is a free software program that displays and prints PDF documents
that have been created with Adobe Acrobat software. Formerly known as Acrobat Reader,
the latest version is available free from the Adobe Website
for Windows, Mac, and other operating systems.
I've never downloaded an eBook before. How can I be sure that I'll actually get
your book after I've paid for it?
There will be no problem if you simply follow the
instructions and click the download link when you receive it, either from
the Thank You page or in the confirming email to your PayPal email address.
Do make sure when you order, however, that you're on the computer where you
want the eBook to be stored for future reference. You will have 24 hours to
download the book, and I have authorized two download attempts. If you
experience any unforeseen technical problems in the download process, however,
just contact me and I'll take care of it. You WILL get what you've paid for.
What do I do with the eBook once I've downloaded it?
My eBook has been set up to automatically open in your Adobe Reader as soon
as it has been downloaded, so all you have to do then is click FILE/SAVE A
COPY to whatever folder you want to store it in for later reading, printing,
and ready reference. If you do not already have a folder called DOWNLOADS or
EBOOKS, now would be a good time to set one up so you don't lose track of
where you've saved this PDF eBook and other PDF documents you've downloaded.
All this is well and good . . . and I'd like to
have the information in your eBook, but I really don't want to read eBooks on my
computer. Why can't I get a printed copy of this book?
I don't read eBooks on my computer, either . . . and you CAN get a printed copy. Simply print the eBook
after you've downloaded it. In fact, I greatly encourage buyers to print a
copy of the book and keep it in a three-ring binder for ready reference each
year at tax time, and inside the book, I've explained how to print the book
in black and white to save the color ink cartridge. Having the eBook on your
computer is also important, however, because it contains numerous links to
tax-related websites, tax forms, resources, and articles that discuss in
greater detail some topics introduced in the book. These links add
greatly to the book's value as an Internet reference and resource tool on
tax matters.
